MEMS Research Assistant Professor

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant Professor to join our team at the University of Texas at Austin. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading research and development efforts in the field of Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) technology.
Key Responsibilities- Design, fabricate, and integrate MEMS devices and sensors for various applications.
- Conduct research and development in the field of MEMS technology, with a focus on acoustic, optical, and RF MEMS.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide MEMS integration into groundbreaking applications.
- Develop and manage projects across partner universities.
- Write proposals and manage grants to facilitate the demonstration of AEC research and new technologies.
- Ph.D. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Geophysics, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of MEMS technology and its diverse applications.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working across disciplines.
- Strategic mindset with a passion for innovation and pushing the boundaries of what's possible with resilient technologies.
- Minimum of 3 years post-Ph.D. degree experience in an active research/industry collaboration environment.
- Experience in geoscience applications and challenges like exploration, monitoring, and data acquisition in harsh environments.
- Experience managing partner and stakeholder relationships.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in environmental industries.
- Familiarity with agile project management methodologies.
