Job Title: Employer Service Specialist

At Building Service 32BJ Benefit Funds, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Employer Service Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Employer Service Specialist will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to employers, addressing their inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate daily with employers to address their inquiries and concerns;
  • Calculate remittance obligations and provide clear explanations to employers;
  • Follow up with employers on unpaid invoices and provide ongoing education and support on Funds' systems, programs, rules, and benefits;
  • Interface and coordinate with senior management in various departments, including contracts, IT, audit, billing, and collections;
  • Assist with the timely onboarding of employers onto electronic reporting;
  • Participate in project work assigned to the department;
  • Build relationships with a broad range of people and draft letters, emails, memorandums, and educational materials;
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team and perform additional duties as directed by the Director of Employer Relations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma with commensurate experience in finance and/or public relations/communications;
  • One to two years of customer service/relations experience;
  • Strong customer service orientation and excellent interpersonal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines;
  • Flexibility with work schedule and commitment to company values;
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
