Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead to join our 2nd Shift Paint Line team at CST Industries Inc. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for directing the day-to-day activities of the paint line, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment, and leading a team of production staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and compliant work environment, adhering to CST Safety Policies and OSHA standards.
  • Lead and motivate a team of production staff, providing guidance and support to ensure successful completion of tasks.
  • Act as a communication hub for the team, disseminating important information and facilitating effective communication with other departments.
  • Schedule production functions and special production needs, ensuring efficient use of resources and meeting CST's targeted goals.
  • Monitor production flow using data indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to boost efficiency and quality.
  • Assist in performing hands-on production and assembly tasks, as needed.
  • Participate in administering the company's quality management system, ensuring the quality of parts meets CST's standards.
  • Complete performance reviews, commendations, disciplinary actions, and PIPs for team members.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years' experience as a hands-on leader in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Proven leadership, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good time management and scheduling skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience with lean practices and principles, with a strong understanding of continuous improvement.
  • Ability to read and interpret CST and customer prints and documents, with strong problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions
  • Noisy work environment, with frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
  • Non-air-conditioned work area, with busy forklift traffic zones.
  • Fast-paced work environment, with occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals.
