Painter/Blaster Technician

Magnum Systems Inc. is a leading designer and manufacturer of material handling and packaging systems for dry bulk materials in North America. Our expertise lies in solving bulk material handling challenges for customers processing various materials, including grain, seeds, cereals, sugar, flour, plastic pellets, plastic powder, sand, cement, fly ash, fertilizers, and granulate chemicals.

We are seeking a skilled Painter/Blaster to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing parts for paint and final finish of stainless-steel parts, painting finished products to customer specifications, and preparing product for assembly and/or shipping.

• Set up and operate blasting and polishing machines.
• Paint finished product to customer specifications.
• Sandblast metal parts to prepare for paint, glass-bead blast stainless-steel parts, and grind and polish food-grade items.
• Load and unload paint racks.
• Stage parts.
• Barcode scanning.
• Prepare, operate, and maintain equipment for operation.
• Regulate machines by setting and adjusting controls.
• Maintain specifications by closely monitoring operations, inspecting parts, and adjusting machinery and procedures as needed.
• Operate hand and power-assisted painting equipment, air-powered nail guns, and power saws.
• Assist with packaging of product for shipment to customer.
• Cross-train in shipping, crating, and receiving.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-year industrial painting and blasting experience.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow directions and internal procedures and policies.
• Ability to cooperate, work, and communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and/or outside contacts.
• English proficiency is required for safety and job training.

The physical demands of this job include lifting, carrying, and/or moving up to 40 lbs, frequent standing, occasional squatting and sitting, grasping, pushing, pulling, holding, carrying, and manipulation of grinding, polishing, and blasting tools.
