Job Title: High School Science Instructor

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and passionate High School Science Instructor to join our team at Bank Street College. As a High School Science Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring high school students in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for high school students in science subjects such as Living Environment, Chemistry, Earth Science, Algebra, and Physics.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications
  • NYS Teacher Certification or professional proficiency in content area preferred.
  • Special Education teachers strongly urged to apply.
  • Must possess strong communication skills and knowledge of group development.
  • Experience working with high school youth and knowledge of child development.
