Job Summary

As a key member of the Air Methods LLC team, the Patient Transfer Coordinator II plays a vital role in ensuring seamless patient transfers between facilities. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient transfers from one facility to another, ensuring timely and efficient movement of patients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with partner hospitals and healthcare providers to facilitate smooth transfer processes.
  • Communicate effectively with referring and receiving parties to ensure accurate and timely transfer of patient information.
  • Facilitate and document all communications related to patient transfers, maintaining accurate records and databases.
  • Clearly communicate and expedite ground and air transportation requests, ensuring timely arrival of patients at receiving facilities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two to five years of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Strong understanding of emergent and non-emergent situations and ability to react appropriately and professionally.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, and ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two to five years of customer service experience.
  • Medical terminology knowledge and prior dealings with physicians and/or hospital processes.
  • Basic Microsoft Suite skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
