Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Logistics Coordinator to join our team at CommonSpirit Health. This is a critical role that requires strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate comprehensive care delivery in all clinical areas during designated shifts.
  • Assume delegated nursing administrative responsibilities as directed.
  • Serve as the communication link between the care team and referring stakeholders.
  • Participate in all activities, meetings, and calls to facilitate and prioritize bed assignments from all points of entry to the acute hospital setting.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Develop contingency patient placement plans with operational charge staff to ensure daily patient operations are not interrupted.
  • Continually re-evaluate requests as necessary to assure timely and appropriate bed assignments and optimal turnaround.
  • Maintain real-time awareness of patient demands, including patient location, acuity, risk factors, and turnaround times.
  • Identify anticipated patient admissions/transfers/discharges and ascertain potential bed availability on an organizational basis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred and 3 years clinical experience required.
