Job Summary

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to support our accounting function and contribute to the growth of our company. This role will report to the Director of Accounting and Finance and will be responsible for daily accounting operations, month-end close, and day-to-day transactional requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations and supporting schedules
  • Own day-to-day AP and AR cycles, including customer invoicing, collections, and weekly bill payments
  • Oversee all general ledger transactions and entries
  • Prepare and enter semi-monthly payroll
  • Assist in managing integrations between multiple systems, including QBO, SFDC, Ramp, and Gusto
  • Analyze transactional data to identify trends and make recommendations to improve processes and increase efficiency
Requirements
  • Background in startup software company
  • Desire to build out processes and functions within the accounting team, with a goal of managing staff in the future
  • Ability to navigate multiple projects and tasks while maintaining a sense of urgency and accuracy for completion
  • Degree in accounting or related field preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exposure to monthly metrics and GAAP reporting
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience building controls and processes at a rapidly growing company
