Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and understanding the current needs of existing and potential customers in their assigned territory. They will translate these needs into sales opportunities and work closely with customers to provide technical product solutions and proposal generation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and understand current needs for existing and potential customers and translate into sales opportunities.
  • Initiate, promote, and maintain the sale of products and services represented and/or distributed by Master Pumps & Power with customers in assigned territory.
  • Coordinate all sales/account management activities at assigned accounts, including field sales contacts, identification of sales potential, applications targeting, technical product solutions, proposal generation, and follow-up.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of products represented and/or distributed by Master Pumps & Power, their applications, features, benefits, and sales presentation.
Requirements:
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline is preferred
  • 2+ Industrial Sales Experience, preferably with Centrifugal pumps, Rotary Gear Pumps, PC pumps, and Chemical Pumps
  • Good working knowledge of process and system hydraulics
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth
  • Exceptional Customer Service and Follow-Up skills
  • Ability to establish customer rapport, build business relationships, and close sales
  • Excellent prospecting/sales skills and techniques
  • Must be an energetic, assertive self-starter with a positive attitude
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and working knowledge of CRM and related technologies
  • Valid driver's license
  • Some overnight travel may be required
