SEARHC is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician to join our Behavioral Health Division. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality clinical psychiatric care to our patients, focusing on diagnosis and treatment of mental and emotional disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Provide evidence-based psychiatric clinical care to patients, including evaluations, psychotherapy, psychopharmacological therapy, and emergency triage.
- Perform differential diagnosis, level of care, and treatment interventions based on evaluation and synthesis of clinical information.
- Treat complex and seriously ill patients, providing education, consultation, and support to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support.
- Document all patient services in the medical record, adhering to SEARHC medical staff rules and regulations.
- MD or DO degree.
- Satisfactory completion of an AMA-approved psychiatric residency program.
- Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Alaska.
- Active DEA registration.
- Buprenorphine registration is strongly preferred.
- Ongoing board certification in psychiatric specialty.
- Ongoing current certification for clinical practice (e.g., BLS, PALS, ACLS as required by practice location).
- Demonstrated knowledge of current best practice clinical psychiatric techniques.
- Up-to-date knowledge of psychopharmacology and use of psychiatric medications.
- Knowledge of medical staff bylaws, clinical services policies/procedures, and ethical standards.
