Hospitalist Physician

At Arc Health, we are seeking a skilled Hospitalist Physician to join our team in Southeast Alaska. As a Hospitalist Physician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare services to inpatients and emergency patients.

• Deliver high-quality medical care across various departments, including Emergency Room, Inpatient, ICU, and OB/Nursery.
• Offer obstetrical care to L&D patients as needed, based on qualifications.
• Perform necessary procedures based on clinical analysis of patient needs.
• Serve as a consultative liaison via phone or video to village healthcare providers and local residential programs.
• Participate in medical staff functions, including quality assurance reviews and discussion of cases and outcomes in monthly departmental meetings.
• Utilize Cerner EMR for all patient documentation and ordering.

• M.D. or D.O. degree with satisfactory completion of an accredited Family Practice, Medicine/Pediatrics, or Emergency Medicine residency.
• Board certification or eligibility.
• Alaska Medical License issued by the Alaska State Medical Board.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) certifications (if applicable).
• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) required within 6 months of starting.

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Ability to thrive in a group practice environment with regular discussions of patient care.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Efficient ordering of diagnostic tests.
