Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer Guidance Navigation Control to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our CoreVMS team, you will be responsible for modernizing and adding new features to a common GNC Simulink implementation used by new programs at NGAS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement software and simulation tools to perform Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) of aircraft.
  • Engage with the CoreVMS team to modernize and add new features to a common GNC Simulink implementation.
  • Work with numerous aircraft programs to develop and implement GNC solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and at least 5 years of experience, a Master's Degree in STEM with 3 years of experience, or a PhD Degree with no experience.
  • Proficient with Matlab and Simulink.
  • Knowledge of C/C++ and Python.
  • Knowledge of flight sciences, control law development, or control system analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Inner- and/or Outer-Loop Flight Control System Design and Analysis.
  • An active / in-scope DOD Secret clearance.
