Job Title: Intellectual Property Division Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented administrative professional to join our Intellectual Property Division at Venable LLP. As an Intellectual Property Division Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our legal staff with various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process expenses and document retrieval
  • Organize documents and assemble business development materials
  • Assist with monthly client billing process
  • Ensure timely processing of client charges for all appropriate expenditures
  • Assist legal staff with new business intake and patent prosecution matters
  • Maintain electronic and physical files
  • Assist with out-processing of client files
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of related administrative experience
  • Ability to learn and work within a document management system
  • Ability to independently and efficiently prioritize workflow
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to various practice management styles
