General Management Assistant

MV Transportation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant General Manager to provide leadership and direction to our operating personnel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of our division business plan and driving success in our fast-paced transit business.
Key Responsibilities- Performance Management: Ensure performance indicators meet or exceed client and corporate expectations, and that division goals and objectives are met or exceeded.
- Leadership and Development: Ensure subordinate staff are well-trained and successful, and that all company policies and procedures are in place and being followed.
- Culture and Vision: Ensure the company vision, values, and culture are understood, communicated, and promoted throughout operations.
- Operational Oversight: Directly oversee operations department managers, train and mentor a future successor for backfill, and successfully manage the Operations Department annual budget.
- General Manager Support: Assume responsibility of the General Manager during their absence.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- Certifications: Certifications according to local contract as required.
- Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge of State and Federal regulations as well as company policies and procedures, experience in development of runs, shift bids, and run cuts, and strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Leadership and Supervision: Strong supervision skills with ability to lead others to success, and ability to develop solutions to challenges through planning and implementation.
- Language Skills: Ability to write and speak English.
