Pediatric Neurology Medical Assistant Opportunity

MaineHealth is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our Pediatric Neurology team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care in a team-based ambulatory practice environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform clinical and administrative tasks related to patient care
  • Function under the license of the provider when performing clinical tasks
  • Demonstrate competency in all skills related to patient care within their scope of practice

Requirements:

  • Graduated with an Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting from an accredited college or a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
  • Completed 160 hours of clinical experience acquired through an externship or working as a medical assistant
  • Current BLS certification
  • Approved Medical Assistant credentials (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA)
  • At least 2 years of clinical Medical Assisting experience in a multi-physician medical practice
