Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant I is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced environment. As a Medical Assistant I, you will work closely with our providers to ensure a smooth flow of patients through the office, while promoting a culture of excellence and compassion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform clinical and administrative tasks related to patient care, including vital signs, medical histories, and medication administration.
  • Assist with procedures, such as injections and blood draws, under the supervision of a licensed provider.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; graduation from an accredited medical assisting program preferred.
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant (AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT) or ability to obtain within 1 year of eligibility.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 3 months of hire.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
