Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant (MA) is a vital member of our team at MaineHealth Vascular Surgery. As a Medical Assistant, you will work closely with our providers to deliver exceptional patient care and support the smooth flow of patients through our office.
Responsibilities
Room patients for clinical appointments and procedures
Perform wound care and assist with minor procedures
Enter referrals, schedule appointments, and manage incoming/outgoing faxes
Stock and order supplies as needed
Requirements
High school diploma or GED preferred
Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification preferred or achieved within 1 year of eligibility
Current BLS certification within 3 months of hire required
1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or 6 months of experience and certification required
