Overview

The solar sector is expanding, and we are eager to enhance our team. This role is accountable for the overall management, execution, and financial performance of solar initiatives valued between $15 million and $49 million.

This position is primarily on-site and entails overseeing the mechanical components of large-scale solar installations up to 500MW.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct precise financial forecasting for project revenues and costs to meet corporate profitability objectives.
  • Collaborate with estimators and the project controls team to set budgets.
  • Lead estimation processes on vertically integrated projects to ensure a consistent bid-to-build workflow.
  • Work alongside estimators, project sponsors, and construction managers to allocate resources effectively and adhere to project timelines.
  • Engage in bid reviews and closures to guarantee bid accuracy and assess project viability; partner with the estimating team to create a bid schedule.
  • Team up with project sponsors and construction managers to formulate a comprehensive plan for project initiation and successful launch.
  • Foster an environment that promotes dynamic communication among Project Engineers, Foremen, Superintendents, and Construction Managers to ensure efficient, profitable, and safe project execution.
  • Ensure effective job controls, including monitoring quantities, costs, revenues, and schedules.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with clients, agencies, subcontractors, and corporate management to provide exceptional service and build long-term partnerships.
  • Generate accurate construction reports to facilitate ongoing performance improvements.
  • Manage projects to achieve or surpass anticipated profit margins.
  • Adhere to and promote corporate safety initiatives to maintain a secure work environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of five years of progressive project experience in the solar sector or civil construction.
  • Over five years of experience overseeing mechanical scopes within the private sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of large-scale solar construction.
  • Understanding of union agreements and prevailing wage considerations.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-output environment.
  • Demonstrated decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory communication skills.
  • Commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
Physical Requirements
