Position: Senior Medical Systems Engineering Technologist

Position Overview:

The Senior Medical Systems Engineering Technologist (Senior MSET) is responsible for conducting assessments, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on medical devices utilized in patient care across our facilities and affiliated institutions. This role includes supervising team members, participating in the Environment of Care (EOC) Committee, managing projects, and ensuring that all patients experience the highest standards of safety and care during their time in our facilities. The Senior MSET operates with a high degree of independence and is committed to delivering exceptional service to all stakeholders, including patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff. Compliance with all regulatory standards is paramount, and the Senior MSET will assist in fostering strong relationships with both facility and vendor partners.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain comprehensive records of all service activities using computerized maintenance management systems.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
- Manage corrective and preventive maintenance tasks and ensure effective communication regarding these activities.
- Travel to various sites as required.
- Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and operate necessary testing equipment for device maintenance.
- Perform cabling tasks, including fiber optic installations.
- Follow corporate and local policies relevant to the position.
- Facilitate training sessions for device users and provide cross-training for team members.
- Coordinate the procurement of replacement parts and services, ensuring timely delivery and accurate invoicing.
- Ensure that all exchange parts are returned for credit within specified timeframes.
