Manufacturing Cost Accountant

Randstad is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Cost Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our financial team, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing plant financial statements, including journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and analyze plant financial statements, including journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
- Analyze and record accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Monitor and analyze inventory movement, including job costs, purchase price variance (PPV), and the annual physical inventory.
- Manage the monthly inter-company billing process to subsidiaries as needed.
- Review weekly purchase requisitions for accuracy and compliance.
- Report on damages, waste, and capital spending on a monthly basis.
- Participate in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) required activities to support the division or group.
- Provide necessary documentation for internal and external financial audits, as well as ISO and provincial audits.
- 3 years of experience in manufacturing cost accounting.
- Excellent MS Excel skills.
- Knowledge of absorption vs. spend and cost analysis for the plant.
- ERP experience.
