Administrative Support Specialist 7

The New York State Civil Service is seeking a highly skilled Administrative Support Specialist 7 to join our team. As a key member of the Ropes Access Team, you will provide administrative support to the Scaler Coordinator in the Niagara Regional Office.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with onboarding and hiring packets, seasonal appointment letters, employee injury reports, and employee timesheet approval.
Maintain records for fleet management, training, PPE, first aid kits, equipment inventory, uniform inventory, and distribution.
Take meeting minutes and act as a proxy for travel and expense report entry.
Purchase equipment for the ropes access team as necessary.
Provide tailgate safety trainings and coordinate with Student Conservation Association interns.
Supervise as necessary and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Two years of experience in administrative support, including use of office software, customer service, business writing, and office management.
First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification, FAA Certified Remote Pilot – sUAS certification, and Sprat Level 1 certification required as a term and condition of employment.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Working Conditions:
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
