Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties

  • Facilitate a seamless and prompt customs process.
  • Conduct precise and timely data entry into our operational systems.
  • Monitor and report on customs files.
  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing for clients.
  • Comprehend and apply all aspects of the import and export customs Desk Level Operating Procedures to meet customer expectations.
  • Transfer customs declaration data from various documents into the customs entry system to create valid customs declarations.
  • Assist in verifying customs declaration information and submitting it to the relevant customs authorities.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulations at all times.
Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of customs brokerage processes and customs legislation, particularly regarding classification, valuation, and origin.
  • Familiarity with ocean, road, and air documentation processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proactive mindset with strong organizational and computer skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications (MS Excel, MS Word).
  • Fluency in English is required.
Reporting Structure
  • Reports to Customs Brokerage Lead Agent, Supervisor, and Manager.
