Job Title: Customer Technical Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Technical Specialist to join our team at Peraton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional technical support to our customers, ensuring their IT needs are met with professionalism and expertise.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support for a variety of technologies, including Cisco switches, fiber backbone, network interconnectivity, desktops/laptops, tablets, local/network printers/scanners, peripherals, network devices, communication devices, and electronic time and attendance systems.
  • Schedule and coordinate customer desk-side support for the installation of new software or to perform hardware or software break/fix activities.
  • Set up and configure new end-user equipment, including laptops, mobile devices, printers, VTC units, VoIP phones, and other peripherals.
  • Document all changes in the ticketing system to ensure all asset and configuration information is up to date.
  • Investigate and resolve all connectivity issues related to end-user, site infrastructure, and STIP IT equipment.
  • Execute and maintain IT infrastructure inventory information, completing regularly scheduled inventories of all IT cabinets and IT cabinet equipment.
  • Recommend customer service and IT process support enhancements, researching and recommending new technologies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 0 years of experience or Associate's degree and 2 years of experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 4 years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship, with the ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance.
  • Experience with desk-side IT support and ability to communicate in a professional manner with senior executive government staff.
  • Experience supporting a variety of IT technologies, including laptops, mobile devices, and other equipment.
  • Ability to work 4+ hours per day on your feet, walking long distances through airports and offices to support customer equipment.
  • Ability to kneel, bend, and reach to get under desks to connect/repair cabling and ability to lift up to 40-50 pounds installing IT equipment.
