The Opportunity

As a seasoned expert in defense missions, you will leverage your extensive industry knowledge and advisory skills to help solve complex problems and find solutions that keep our nation safe.

This role requires a unique combination of combat systems experience, technical expertise, and strategic planning skills to support the development, testing, acquisition, and integration of ship combat systems.

You will work in a team environment with senior staff supporting combat systems development, acquisition, sustainment, logistics, and readiness assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support on behalf of the Navy program office throughout all phases of the combat systems development lifecycle.
  • Support the development, testing, acquisition, and integration of ship combat systems.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to support combat systems development, acquisition, sustainment, logistics, and readiness assessments.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in military networks, sensors, and weapons system integration.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in combat systems and technologies.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience working with combat systems for the DoD or U.S. Navy as a civilian, military personnel, or contractor.
  • Experience with military networks, sensors, and weapons system integration.
  • Experience with Ship Self Defense System (SSDS).
  • Experience with strategic planning.
  • Secret clearance.
  • HS diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing dashboards, databases, or data science tools, including Microsoft Power Apps or SharePoint.
  • Experience with Aegis Combat System.
  • Experience with U.S. Navy platforms, combat and networked systems, surface and air-launched weapons, C4I, Sensors, and EW systems.
  • Experience with NAVSEA and Naval Surface Warfare Center programs.
  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition and logistics policies and procedures.
  • TS /SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Mathematics, Physics, or an Engineering field preferred; Master's degree in CS, Mathematics, Physics, or an Engineering field a plus.
Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123, annualized USD.
