Job Overview

Everstaff is looking for a Civil Litigation Paralegal to support a leading law firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and revise legal and non-legal documents with precision.
  • Utilize CompuLaw to manage and monitor critical deadlines.
  • Organize and maintain both physical and digital client files through iManage, the firm's document management system.
  • Engage with clients, court clerks, judicial bodies, vendors, and attorneys to gather or relay essential information.
  • Compile and submit expense reports accurately.
  • Request reimbursement for client-related expenditures.
  • Assist attorneys with various billing processes for clients.
  • Perform essential tasks to address client requirements effectively.
  • Transcribe dictation for legal documentation.
  • Record attorneys' billable hours in Juris.
  • Manage e-filing and e-recording with different state courts and agencies.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Strong understanding of legal principles, procedures, and the court system, particularly in civil litigation (e.g., managing deadlines, motion practices).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to collaborate with diverse personalities and interact effectively with all staff.
  • Proficient in operating standard office equipment.
  • Familiarity with notary regulations.
  • Availability for a standard workweek with potential for overtime, travel, and occasional late nights or weekends as necessary.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat, iManage (document management software), Juris (time entry), and familiarity with oil and gas title opinions is preferred.
Educational Requirements:

A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is mandatory. An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Experience in the oil and gas litigation sector is advantageous.
