Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Support Specialist to join our team at Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide basic nursing care to patients assigned to the Primary Care Clinic under the direct supervision of a Licensed Medical Care Provider.
  • Conduct health assessments and screenings as per established protocols.
  • Record and report observations and patient progress to the healthcare team.
  • Assist in the formulation of treatment plans and provide patient education.
  • Perform various clinical tasks, including phlebotomy, ECGs, and vital sign collection.
  • Assist with patient transfers and ambulation.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including positioning, draping, and disinfecting treatment sites.
  • Collect and record patient data, including height, weight, temperature, pulse, respiration rate, and blood pressure.
  • Perform simple laboratory and screening tests.
  • Administer first aid and CPR as needed.
  • Perform front office duties, including answering phones, filing, scheduling appointments, and computer input.
  • Order medical and clinical supplies and maintain inventory.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a medical assistant program approved by the State of California.
  • Phlebotomy certificate preferred.
  • Three (3) months to One (1) year experience working as a medical assistant in a doctor's office, clinic setting, or hospital.
