Position Title: Senior Software Engineer II (Linux/Unix Systems Engineer)

Position Summary: This role involves supporting the sustainment of Linux/Unix Engineering under ASRC Federal's CECOM SETA Support within the PEO EIS MSP. The PEO EIS MSP is responsible for ensuring that the U.S. Army's Linux/Unix systems are secure, dependable, and capable of facilitating mission-critical operations. As a Senior Software Engineer II, your contributions will be vital in maintaining and enhancing these systems to guarantee their optimal functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage Linux systems with a focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.
  • Implement and maintain Red Hat Pacemaker clusters.
  • Operate RHEL servers within AWS cloud environments.
  • Develop and execute scripts using Shell, Bash, Python, or similar languages.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to solve complex problems.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD security requirements and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux system administration.
  • Proven expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Technical certifications in Linux or related fields.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for a Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ERP SAP environments and ServiceNow.
  • Experience working within an Agile Framework.
  • Knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes.
  • Experience in performing RHEL upgrades.
