Position Summary: We are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer II specializing in Linux/Unix Systems Engineering. This role is primarily REMOTE, with occasional travel required for collaboration with stakeholders.
Role Responsibilities: The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in the Linux/Unix Engineering Sustainment under ASRC Federal's CECOM SETA Support. This position is crucial for maintaining the security, reliability, and operational capacity of the U.S. Army's Linux/Unix systems.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Ensuring optimal performance and reliability of Linux/Unix systems.
- Contributing to system maintenance and enhancements.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support mission-critical operations.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux system administration.
- Expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 administration.
- Hands-on experience with Red Hat Pacemaker clusters.
- Experience managing RHEL servers in AWS cloud environments.
- Strong scripting capabilities in Shell, Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Proven problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Relevant Linux or technical certifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with DoD security requirements and compliance (STIG/ACAS).
- Knowledge of ERP SAP environments.
- Experience with ServiceNow.
- Background in Agile Framework methodologies.
- Experience in performing RHEL upgrades.
- Proficiency with containers and Kubernetes.

Minimum Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 9 years of relevant experience in software systems design, development, and implementation.

- Certifications: DoD M IAT Level II and applicable DoD M Computing Environment certification.
- Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for a Secret security clearance.
