About the Role

MITRE is seeking a highly motivated and experienced software engineer to join our team in developing complex software systems for Army Electronic Warfare and Signals Intelligence projects. As a software development engineer, you will work on agile development teams to design, implement, and deploy containerized microservices using C/C++, Python, and Java.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs using Open API Specification (OAS)
  • Work with senior engineers to ideate software solutions and develop large software applications
  • Collaborate with development teams to perform containerized microservice development
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, with a strong foundation in Linux operating systems and experience in Java, C/C++, or Python
  • Demonstrated experience in full lifecycle development of large software applications and understanding of industry standard software design patterns and best practices
  • Active Secret Clearance and ability to support on-site engagement with sponsors and vendors
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate and collaborate as part of a software development team
  • Experience using Agile processes and tools, and working in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) environments
  • Exposure to programming with NVIDIA CUDA and familiarity with Digital Signal Processing concepts and implementation
