The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinating all functions within the unit/department during their designated shift.

In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in alignment with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies a commitment to the organization's vision, mission, and values to support exceptional patient experiences and clinical outcomes that enhance overall departmental performance.


Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality, patient-centered care.

- Participate in ongoing assessments of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, collaborating with other management team members.

- Work with subject matter experts and other managers to foster a collaborative environment that supports improved outcomes and service.

- Uphold a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.

- Support facility engagement initiatives by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other programs.

- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.

- Recommend and implement actions, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions to ensure a competitive organization.

- Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor resources in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Ensure proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.

Qualifications:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse license.
- Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
