The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and overseeing all unit functions during their shift.
In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care according to established policies, serving as a resource for staff and embodying the organization's vision and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.
The CNC also assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care.
They participate in ongoing assessments of care quality in the unit, working with management to enhance engagement through nursing strategies.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing recommendations for interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
- Implementing training and development initiatives, conflict resolution, and performance evaluations.
- Managing staff scheduling and labor in accordance with patient care needs.
- Overseeing inventory control and supply management.
