Marine Equipment Technician

We are seeking a skilled Marine Equipment Technician to join our team at Safe Harbor Marinas LLC. As a Marine Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for performing various installations and repairs to equipment and machinery related to yacht repair and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Install and repair engine mounting systems, engine to drive line alignments, and engine to gear box alignments.
- Perform maintenance on exhaust system components, hydraulic steering systems, and troubleshoot, test, repair, replace, remove, and install vessel systems and components.
- Conduct thorough assessments prior to starting a job, including acknowledging budgeted time and time frames for completion, proving the system and the element requiring service, sourcing parts if required, and assigning parts and purchases to the appropriate vessels/tickets.
- Be available to work overtime to meet deadlines and perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and technical school training is also preferred.
- Five years' experience is preferred, and ABYC and/or manufacturer certifications are also preferred.
- Ability to ascend and descend a ladder, carry own tools, work in confined spaces, and lift 50 pounds.
- Basic boat handling skills are preferred, and experience with both gas and diesel engines is also preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service and an understanding of customers' needs.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills while working both independently and within a team context.
- Organizational skills are a must, and the ability to prioritize and work unsupervised.
