Logistics Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Supervisor to join our team at the Fort Worth Logistics Center in Texas. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day workflow, ensuring operational efficiency, and driving production output.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure safe and productive work practices.
  • Communicate production and shipping requirements to the team and develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
  • Assist in training and instructing employees on work assignments and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Control department expenses to achieve productivity goals and pursue opportunities to improve speed and quality.
  • Maintain good employee relations through counseling and proper application of labor relations policies.
  • Lead departments in efforts to meet lean manufacturing and continuous improvement goals.
  • Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels and coordinating with internal and external organizations.
  • Prepare required reports and enforce health, environmental, and safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP and proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to document procedures and express processes in writing and flowchart processes.
  • 2 years of logistics experience preferred, with experience working with a unionized workforce and Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma preferred.
