Job Description

Ascentec Engineering LLC is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and a passion for ensuring the highest quality products.

This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of metrology equipment and quality management systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating Zeiss CMMs, inspecting precision CNC machined parts, and contributing to our Quality Management System (AS9100).

The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing QA data, verifying non-conformance, and working with a team to ensure consistent quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Extremely detail-oriented and focused on maintaining consistent quality standards
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret internal and customer-provided mechanical prints, including GD&T
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as a team member when parts/assemblies are determined to be out of tolerance during final inspection
  • Experience with a wide variety of metrology equipment, including CMMs, optical comparators, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, etc.
  • Experience with manual and/or automated CMMs preferred (including formatting of CMM reports)
  • Experience working within an AS9100 registered organization preferred
  • Able to work overtime and weekend shifts as needed
  • Preference will be given to candidates with prior CNC machinist experience
  • CQI or CQT preferred
  • Working knowledge of Zeiss CMMs with Calypso software
