Shift and Compensation:
2nd Shift - Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
Hourly Rate: $19

Key Responsibilities:
As a Mechanical Assembly Specialist, your primary duties will include:

  • Assembling large mechanical components of generators.
  • Constructing PowerGen units from the initial setup of mechanical parts to the final electrical wiring.
  • Positioning all major mechanical components of a generator accurately.
  • Securing the Genset onto its skid using appropriate hardware while adhering to torque specifications.
  • Attaching all necessary stands to the skid and ensuring proper placement of components.
  • Connecting exhaust components and installing them with the correct hardware and gaskets, ensuring all torque requirements are met.
  • Fabricating load cables using the correct gauge wire, lugs, and proper crimping techniques.
  • Creating CAN harnesses, fuel lines, and block heater hoses.

Physical Requirements:
The role involves:

  • Standing, stooping, and bending.
  • Occasional lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Candidates should possess:

  • Ability to measure with precision to 1/16th of an inch.
  • Skills in routing electrical wires and cables.
  • Understanding of quality standards in wiring workmanship.
  • Proficiency in using crimping tools, stripping tools, multimeters, and hand tools such as wrenches and torque wrenches.
  • Capability to mark and label components, wiring, and connections for circuit identification.
  • Experience with power tools including grinders, drills, and impact guns.
  • Ability to interpret and execute electrical schematics, drawings, and engineering sketches.
  • Willingness to learn about torque values and their application to components.
  • Competence in drilling and tapping holes, as well as mounting control units using hand and power tools.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to verify the accuracy and completeness of work according to specifications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
