Tire and Wheel Assembly Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Adecco. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing manufacturing processes for tire and wheel assembly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of automated/tooled trailers, balancing equipment, mount & inflate equipment, uniformity systems, and robotic palletizing.
- Play a critical role in launching new products and programs, overseeing the transition from design to production.
- Lead the development of equipment specifications and Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to ensure accurate acquisition of tooling and equipment.
- Oversee tooling and equipment acquisition processes, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure proper integration into the production line.
- Manage the transition of purchased equipment to the plant, ensuring seamless integration of mechanical and control systems.
- Effectively manage budgets related to tooling and equipment acquisition, ensuring cost-effective and timely purchasing.
- Design and optimize manufacturing processes, with a strong emphasis on module assembly, incorporating both manual and automated part assembly.
- Develop and document process flow, ensuring all necessary risk assessments and PFMEAs are in place.
- Confidently present process designs and equipment specifications to customers in both virtual and in-person settings.
Requirements:
- 7-10 years of experience in Tire and Wheel Assembly, with a strong understanding of both manual and automated assembly systems.
- Extensive experience in module assembly, automated and manual part assembly.
- Experience in product and/or program launches, including equipment specification development (RFQs).
- Proven background in process design, with a focus on integrating module assembly and PFMEA documentation.
- Hands-on experience in transitioning equipment and tooling into plant environments, including both mechanical and control systems.
- Strong budget management experience, with an ability to manage costs effectively.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present in front of customers.
Preferred Experience:
- 7-10 years of relevant experience, ideally from companies such as OEMs, Module Suppliers, or Automobile Car Part Manufacturers.
