Role Summary:

The Memory Care Recreation Assistant will be responsible for orchestrating daily activities tailored to the unique needs of our residents. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that each resident's life is enriched through both group and individualized programming.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute a monthly activity schedule for the assigned neighborhood, ensuring a variety of group and one-on-one activities are available.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and assess personalized care plans, ensuring seamless integration of recreational programming.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation and feedback regarding activities, adhering to departmental protocols.
  • Assess resident responses to recreational activities and adjust care plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
  • Assist in organizing and facilitating community-wide special events.
  • Provide transportation for residents to various locations, ensuring compliance with all relevant licensing and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications include coursework in eldercare, recreation, or event planning. Experience in geriatrics within long-term care or assisted living settings is highly valued. Candidates must possess a valid chauffeur's driver's license and maintain an excellent driving record. Flexibility in work hours is essential, along with strong communication skills in English.
