Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the daily operation of assigned payroll duties, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Workday HRIS, providing expert guidance on system usage, troubleshooting, and enhancements to optimize payroll functions
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze Power BI dashboards to track and report on payroll metrics, trends, and performance indicators
  • Train, assess performance, and provide constructive feedback to team members
  • Oversee the maintenance of payroll records, logs, and files in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations
  • Manage tax reporting duties, including the accurate calculation and submission of federal, state, and local payroll taxes, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Oversee and manage garnishment processes, including court-ordered deductions, ensuring accurate and timely implementation in accordance with legal mandates
  • Create and maintain Workday reports, leveraging payroll data to support strategic decision-making, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Associate's degree with four (4) years of payroll experience
  • Strong interpersonal and organization skills
  • Experience with multi-state payroll and Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree with five (5) years of payroll experience
  • Experience with Workday HRIS
Work Environment

Standard office environment, use of telephones, computers, and other office equipment

Physical Requirements

Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
