About the Position

Lake Washington Institute of Technology is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach in our Dental Assistant program. As a part-time faculty member, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to our students and contributing to the development of our curriculum.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Instruction: Develop and deliver engaging and effective lessons to students in both didactic and clinical settings.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and revision of our Dental Assistant program curriculum to ensure it remains current and relevant.
  • Student Assessment and Evaluation: Assess and evaluate student learning and progress, providing feedback and guidance to support student success.
  • Program Support: Participate in program meetings and contribute to the development of program policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Education: Associate degree or higher in a related field.
  • Experience: 5 or more years of experience in a related field, with a strong background in dental assisting.
  • Certifications: Current Washington RDA license and CPR for the Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
