Nurse Resident/Home Health Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Resident/Home Health to join our team at SSM Health. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.
Responsibilities- Provide skilled nursing care to residents, adhering to established care plans and federal/state regulations.
- Administer medications and treatments according to standards of care, maintaining competency in all required nursing skills.
- Provide guidance and direction to ancillary staff, ensuring coordination of care and effective communication.
- Use the nursing process for assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation, reporting significant changes to physicians as indicated.
- Ensure accurate inventory of medications, distribution, and monitoring for side effects.
- Communicate with residents, guardians, and family members on current conditions and needs, providing teaching and training as needed.
- Ensure preventative measures are in place, such as skin checks, turning/repositioning schedules, and toileting schedules.
- Respond promptly to alarms and ensure restraint alternatives are in place.
- Provide quality end-of-life care, using comfort baskets to meet resident and family needs.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- No experience required.
