Nurse Resident/Home Health Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Resident/Home Health to join our team at SSM Health. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.
Responsibilities- Provide skilled nursing care to residents, including administering medications and treatments, and maintaining competency in all required nursing skills.
- Lead and direct ancillary staff, ensuring coordination of care and providing guidance and direction as needed.
- Use the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate resident care, reporting significant changes to physicians as indicated.
- Maintain accurate inventory of medications and ensure accurate distribution to residents, monitoring for medication side effects and following manufacturer guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with residents, guardians, and family members, providing teaching and training as needed, and ensuring that preventative measures are in place to prevent skin breakdown and other complications.
- Respond promptly to alarms and ensure that restraint alternatives are in place, including personal alarms, cushion alarms, and wheelchair belts.
- Provide quality end-of-life care, using comfort baskets to meet resident and family needs, and demonstrating compliance with post-mortem care procedures.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- No experience required, but a strong desire to provide high-quality care to our residents.
