Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Resident to join our team at SSM Health St. Mary's Care Center. As a Nurse Resident, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled nursing care to residents, including administering medications and treatments, and maintaining competency in all required nursing skills.
  • Provide guidance and direction to ancillary staff, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Use the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate resident care, reporting significant changes to physicians as needed.
  • Ensure accurate inventory of medications and proper distribution to residents, monitoring for medication side effects and following manufacturer guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, guardians, and family members, providing teaching and training as needed.
  • Participate in report meetings and respond promptly to alarms, ensuring a safe and alert environment.
  • Ensure quality end-of-life care, using comfort baskets to meet resident and family needs, and demonstrating compliance with post-mortem care procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • No experience required.
