Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition Specialists to attract, onboard, and retain nursing staff.
  • Supervise nursing staff through both individual and group settings.
  • Manage the daily execution and achievement of nursing service goals as outlined by the Board of Directors.
  • Conduct regular meetings with nursing personnel to ensure alignment and communication.
  • Assess and enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, accessibility, and satisfaction of nursing services.
  • Engage in the formulation, implementation, and adherence to nursing policies and health-related procedures.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and ongoing quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness and satisfaction of health and wellness programs.
  • Provide expert consultation to clinical and management teams regarding health assessments and interventions.
  • Participate in the design and execution of quality assurance and program evaluation for health-related initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Act as a liaison with various organizations involved in healthcare oversight and funding.
  • Assist in crafting responses to Requests for Proposals for new initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver training materials related to medication and wellness for staff and stakeholders.
  • Support senior leadership in establishing administrative objectives and policies.
  • Evaluate and promote the effectiveness of nutrition services.
  • Oversee the Associate Director of Nursing and nursing staff, including performance management and conflict resolution.
  • Represent the organization at external meetings as required.
  • Participate in professional development to maintain and enhance necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate on after-hours nursing services management.
  • Provide clinical coverage as needed in select programs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Nursing.
  • Current active nursing license from the New York State Department of Education.
  • A minimum of 5 years of post-master's experience in nursing, including work in medical and mental health settings.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or administrative experience.
Preferred Skills:
  • Nurse Practitioner certification or Doctorate in Nursing or Nursing Administration.
  • Familiarity with federal and state healthcare regulations.
  • Knowledge of clinical interventions and evidence-based practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health records.
  • Strong staff management and organizational skills.
  • Financial acumen to manage budgets effectively.

  • Strong analytical and evaluative skills.
