The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at Duke University School of Medicine is on the lookout for early to mid-career faculty members at the assistant or associate professor level, specializing in pediatric hepatology. Candidates should ideally possess board eligibility or certification in Pediatric Transplant Hepatology.
About the Division
This division is dedicated to enhancing the treatment of pediatric gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, and nutritional disorders through a synergistic approach involving patient care, research, and educational initiatives. Our multidisciplinary team, which includes physicians, nurse practitioners, and dietitians, delivers advanced diagnostic procedures and comprehensive therapeutic services for a wide range of conditions affecting the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, gallbladder, bile ducts, pancreas, and liver. Duke is recognized for hosting the largest pediatric liver transplant program in North Carolina and the surrounding areas, along with a robust living donor program and an expanding intestinal/multivisceral transplant initiative.
Collaborative Care
Our division works closely with various specialties, including Pediatric Surgery, Transplant Surgery, Otolaryngology, Pediatric Radiology, Interventional Radiology, Psychology, and Physical Therapy, ensuring comprehensive patient care.

Candidate Qualifications
Eligible candidates must possess an MD, DO, or MD/PhD degree and be board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatric Gastroenterology, with a focus on Pediatric Transplant Hepatology for those interested in hepatology.
