The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society is in search of a dedicated, academically inclined, board certified or board eligible orthopaedic surgeon with specialized training in Pediatric Orthopaedics. This faculty position offers the chance to collaborate with a team of professionals across various settings, each with distinct clinical focuses. Ideal candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, demonstrate active involvement in academic organizations, and show a passion for treating pediatric patients with neuromuscular conditions.

Key Opportunities:

  • Access to research support – either independently or in partnership with faculty colleagues – is available across a wide array of academic disciplines to align with the goals and interests of the new faculty member.
  • Engagement in a vibrant training atmosphere, with opportunities for interaction with students, residents, and fellows.
  • Participation in orthopaedic emergency coverage within the health system, which includes a comprehensive trauma center.
  • Academic appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level within the medical school; rank and compensation will be based on experience.

Qualifications:

  • Board certified or board eligible orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in Pediatric Orthopaedics.
  • Preferred candidates will have at least 5 years of clinical practice.
  • A strong commitment to exceptional patient care, alongside teaching, research, and leadership on various levels.
