The Turndown Attendant is a key member of our Housekeeping team at Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa. This role is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms, including interior and exterior areas, to provide an exceptional experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Respond promptly to guest requests and communicate effectively with other departments.
- Prepare and transport cleaning supplies and equipment to assigned areas.
- Review and complete work assignments from the Housekeeping Department, adhering to established procedures and protocols.
- Enter guest rooms, ensuring vacancy and following established protocols for gaining access.
- Replace guest amenities and supplies, including linens and towels.
- Clean bathrooms, kitchens, and other areas, adhering to resort guidelines and standards.
- Remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items, and ensure all appliances are present and functioning.
- Perform floor care duties, including vacuuming and dusting, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Follow all OSHA and MSDS rules and regulations, and report any accidents or injuries to management.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and support team goals.
- Identify opportunities to increase efficiency, productivity, and quality, and implement improvements as needed.
- Prior housekeeping experience, preferably in a resort or related field.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including PM and AM shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds, and stand for long periods of time.
- Prior experience in a Five Diamond Resort environment.
- Dynamic and personable individual with excellent communication skills.
- Frequent or occasional need to perform reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting, and climbing activities.
- Constant need to perform grasping, turning, and finger dexterity activities.
- Occasional need to stand for long periods of time.
- Lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs. frequently and 30 lbs. occasionally.
$20/hour, with benefits including medical, dental, vacation, and 401K.
