Description:
- Deliver and enhance 24/7 quality patient care for a designated group of transplant patients by showcasing exceptional nursing expertise and clinical proficiency.
- Function as an educator for individuals undergoing transplantation, providing comprehensive care and instruction for both pre and post-transplant patients and their families.
- Act as a patient advocate within the healthcare system and the broader community.

Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of three years of nursing experience or relevant direct patient care experience with complex cases.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) or a comparable combination of education and experience in a medical-surgical unit, intensive care unit, or transplant unit.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating sound judgment and assessment capabilities.
- Competent leadership and instructional skills.
- Current Registered Nurse license in Nebraska or a compact state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in solid organ transplantation is preferred.
- Background in cardiology (ICU, CCU, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree is preferred.
- Certification in transplant coordination within two years of hire or transfer date is preferred.
