Position Summary

Our rapidly expanding production company is on the lookout for a Logistics and Warehouse Manager. This role offers the selected candidate the chance to leverage their expertise, acquire new skills, and collaborate with a dynamic team in a clean and secure setting. The ideal candidate will possess over five years of experience in the manufacturing industry, focusing on warehouse oversight, logistics, and leadership, demonstrating a keen attention to detail and a commitment to safety in the workplace. Furthermore, the candidate should be driven to advance their career, with flexibility regarding work schedules and shift preferences.

Key Responsibilities of the Logistics and Warehouse Manager:

  • Oversee and coordinate outbound logistics, including both on-site and off-site inventory management, as well as the transportation of finished products.
  • Build and maintain relationships, negotiating with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers regarding logistics providers and the inbound supply of raw materials.
  • Work closely with customer service and sales teams to evaluate strategic logistics opportunities.
  • Plan and allocate resources for warehouse picking and shipping processes to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure warehouse operations align with other functions such as production and procurement.
  • Support operational processes, including inspection, receiving, storage, material usage, order picking, and both inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, variance investigations, and regular physical inventories.
  • Manage departmental KPIs, utilizing visual controls and reporting status to management.
  • Identify root causes of issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and execute lean initiatives to ensure ongoing process improvements.
  • Ensure employee adherence to company policies and production procedures.

Qualifications for the Logistics and Warehouse Manager:

Experience:

  • Previous supervisory experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or similar industry.
  • Experience in the food sector is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems is desirable; experience with MS Dynamics is preferred, and knowledge of Aptean is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Technical Skills:

  • Process management expertise.
  • Experience in process improvement.
  • Forklift certification or Forklift Trainer certification is preferred.
  • CDL certification is a plus.
