Position Summary:
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily functions of the warehouse. This includes managing labor schedules, supervising staff, and ensuring the efficient use of space, equipment, and workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee warehouse personnel and their daily activities.
- Assist the Branch Manager with various company initiatives such as budgeting, employee development, training, safety protocols, quality assurance, cost management, purchasing, and inventory oversight.
- Provide comprehensive training to new hires on product knowledge, equipment upkeep, safe loading and unloading practices, and workplace safety.
- Maintain and monitor equipment inventory levels.
- Evaluate returned equipment for functionality and safety compliance.
- Supervise and coordinate the delivery and transfer of equipment.
- Perform additional tasks or special projects as directed by the Branch Manager.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a Class D License.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous supervisory or military experience is preferred.
- Valid in-state driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong customer service abilities.
- Proficient in computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Experience in customer service roles.
- Capability to safely lift up to 70 lbs without assistance.
Success Factors:
- Strong focus on safety and compliance.
- Proven managerial skills with the ability to prioritize and stay organized.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
All candidates will be required to undergo drug testing, a criminal background check, and E-Verification of their eligibility to work in the United States.
Working Environment:
- Employees will engage in activities that require standing and walking in the yard.
- Work may involve periods of sitting at a workbench for equipment maintenance.
- Employees will be responsible for counting and restocking items in various areas.
