Position Summary:

This position entails aiding in the identification, evaluation, and mitigation of technology-related risks to uphold the security and effectiveness of our IT systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Evaluation: Assist in pinpointing and assessing technology risks throughout the organization. Conduct risk evaluations for both new and existing technologies and offer recommendations for risk mitigation.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Support adherence to pertinent regulations and standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO. Ensure that IT processes comply with internal policies and external mandates.
  • Incident Analysis: Aid in the investigation and documentation of technology-related incidents. Collaborate with the team to analyze root causes and suggest improvements to avert future occurrences.
  • Vulnerability Assessment: Support the identification and evaluation of vulnerabilities within IT systems. Assist in the execution of remediation strategies and monitor the progress of vulnerability resolutions.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain precise documentation of risk assessments, incidents, and compliance activities. Prepare reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with IT and security teams to bolster risk management initiatives. Engage in meetings and contribute to discussions regarding risk-related matters.
  • Ongoing Development: Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in technology risk management. Propose enhancements to current risk management processes and tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in technology risk management, cybersecurity, or a similar role.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies, vulnerability management tools, and IT compliance standards. Basic understanding of network security, data protection, and IT infrastructure.
  • Analytical Capability: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to evaluate complex situations and identify potential risks.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Capable of conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and meticulousness in risk assessment and documentation tasks.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work effectively within a team environment and collaborate with various departments.
  • Certifications (Optional): Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) are advantageous.
